Skill-Sets
Skill sets group competencies by context, for example for projects, teams or feedback sessions. A single competency can be reused across multiple skill sets at the same time.
- They enable quick and consistent assignment of competencies to competency matrices, feedback sessions and check-ins.
- Teams can create their own skill sets to cluster competencies that are relevant to a specific project or team within a competency matrix.
- These team-specific skill sets are not added to the company-wide competency catalogue and are only available to the respective team.
Skill sets created by the skill catalogue administrator, on the other hand, are available company-wide, ensuring a shared and standardized framework.
Roles
Roles define the expectations associated with a position, independent of any specific competency matrix.
- They are created and maintained by the skill catalogue administrator
- And are assigned directly to employees, regardless of teams or matrices.
- Roles specify which competencies, tasks and responsibilities are relevant for a position and can be linked to training courses to support development and growth.
A detailed explanation of how to create and manage roles, including AI support, competency levels and training links, is available in the separate documentation
“Creating and managing roles in the competency catalogue”.
